The Akwa Ibom/Cross River Association in Italy (AkwaCross) is a non-political and a non-profit organization. Membership is open to all Akwa Ibom and Cross River indigenes from various disciplines across Italy and beyound. We also accept non-Akwa Ibomites or non-Cross Riverians who are friends with interest in cultural preservation.

AkwaCross is a united, democratic and progressive body set up to:

· Promote socio-cultural and recreational activities

· Create a centralized database of Akwa IBom and Cross River citizens in Italy

· Cater for the welfare and solidarity of members

· Provide a platform of through which human and economic resources of indigenes in Italy can be effectively harnessed for multi-sector growth and sustainable development in Akwa Ibom State

· Create educational awareness through career-guidance and counseling, lectures and seminars

· Maintain harmonious and healthy relationships with similarinstitutions

· Foster and protect the interest of members

AkwaCross is directed by a board that sets policies and projects for the organization. The organization is self-supported through funding from individuals and corporate investors. We invite you to join us.
